A racked panel binds diagonally: it scrapes the head at one end of travel and the sill at the other, while a simple roller-drop scrapes low on one side consistently. A frame door also flexes — push gently on a stile mid-slide and feel the panel give or "oil-can." And a latch that drifted away from its keeper even after a fresh alignment suggests the panel's own geometry, not its height, has changed.
The diagnostic that settles it is the diagonals: measuring corner-to-corner both ways on the panel. Equal diagonals mean square; unequal means racked. It is the first thing we check on any suspected frame door.
